HUNT SYNOPSIS (with additional information)

Day 1: You can drive to Two Heart Buffalo Ranch or arrive at Rapid City Regional Airport (located approximately 1 hour from Ranch headquarters).  After a required target shooting session (to help ensure a desirable one-shot hunt), guest are taken onto the prairie to scout the herd and discuss the up coming hunt with Hunt guide. If possible, a suitable bull is identified to be hunted the next day. Next, a delicious buffalo supper before retiring to your cabin. Day 2: A complete ranch-cooked breakfast at ranch headquarters kicks off the second days activities. Then its off to the River Breaks to locate the bull that you located the previous day. After locating the trophy bull, a careful stalk is undertaken to put you in the best possible position to make a one shot kill. With your guide serving as backup shooter to ensure safety, you can harvest your bull using a firearm. (Please click here for minimum requirements). After your bull is down, the animal is loaded and taken for processing to Rapid City. All processing of animal is at hunters expense.

Q. Do I need a license?
A. No license is required to hunt Bison at the Ranch. All guest are required to sign a liability waiver.

Q. Are non-hunting guests welcome?
A. Yes. a Family member may accompany you at no additional cost.

Q. What is the difference between "massive trophy" and "non trophy" hunts?
A. Our "massive trophy" bulls are 1800-2100 lbs.  Hunting will cost $3,800 horns, hide, cape and all of the meat. The annual hunting season is limited to only 10 of these larger bulls. A smaller meat/trophy bull 1400lbs.+ - $3,000.00.  Nice medium size mount with excellent meat and hide.  Also available, nice all natural meat bull 1000-1300lbs. - $2,400.00.  This is our most popular bull.  Hunter gets whole Bison; meat, horn, and hide. Taxidermy and meat processing services are available at hunters expense.

Q. Do I need a deposit?
A. Yes. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your hunt and date. Upon arriving at Ranch Headquarters, the balance must be paid with cash. In case of complications, your hunt can be transferred to another party if Two Heart Ranch is notified 90 days prior to the date.

Q. Are other parties allowed to hunt during my hunting time?
A. No. Only one hunting party is allowed on the ranch at a given time. This policy ensures privacy and solitude.
